Is MW4 ESP different from regular player radar?

Closed thread Closed by archive

Quick question because I keep seeing ESP and radar mentioned together.

Are they basically the same feature or do they serve different purposes?

One MW4 feature list mentions player boxes, skeleton, health, armor, distance and weapon information. Then it has a completely separate 2D radar with operator markers and zoom settings.

Why would a product need both?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the terminology.

They're different interface concepts. ESP generally displays information alongside the game view. Radar presents markers on a separate map-style display.

So basically one is on the main screen and the other is a little map?

That's the general distinction, yeah.

People use ESP as a blanket term for literally everything now. Marketing departments have ruined vocabulary lol.

The useful thing is checking exactly what information is listed. A product saying ESP doesn't tell you whether it includes health, distance, equipment or anything else.

Got it. So feature documentation actually matters instead of just seeing the word ESP everywhere.
