How do you keep an MW4 menu readable without clutter?

One thing I always find annoying about complicated software menus is having too many options visible at once.

Some MW4 menus have separate visual, aim and miscellaneous sections.

The feature list I was checking includes boxes, skeleton, health, armor, distance, player names, weapon information, snaplines and custom crosshair options.

It also mentions saved configurations for different modes.

Personally, I prefer being able to understand a menu without opening 15 different tabs.

What makes a software interface feel organized to you?

Logical sections. Visual options together, aim options together, miscellaneous stuff somewhere else. That's already a good start.

Search bars. Please, more software needs search bars.

A search bar in a menu with 12 options is crazy lmao.

You say that until the menu has 70 options.

Saved profiles are useful when different game modes need different settings. The MW4 listing specifically mentions separate 6v6 and DMZ configurations.

Now if only every game menu had decent organization.
